When Jordan & Alistair chose The Woods Farm they basically booked a destination wedding and mini‑holiday all in one. This 40‑acre property near Jervis Bay has yard games, giant chess, big jenga and a bocce court; there are bikes to cruise around on, a secret garden path and a crafts caravan hidden among the trees. Guests stayed in cosy cottages and glamping tents, roasted marshmallows at their own firepit or the communal bonfire and met the resident alpacas, goats and mini highland cows.
Their friend Taylor Dent – newly minted as a celebrant – led a heartfelt ceremony at the farm’s bush chapel. Jordan’s hair was styled by Aimee Egan Hair, a Wollongong salon known for turning hair into art; Aimee’s work blends styling, design and creative direction, and the team’s books are always open for bridal appointments. Kayla K Makeup brought Jordan’s natural beauty to life: Kayla loves meeting new souls and uses her passion and professionalism to create the look of your dreams, drawing on ten years of experience and hundreds of weddings. Blooms from Ivy Lane Collective combined pampas, hydrangeas and dried textures to transform the barn into a floral wonderland.
Dinner was catered by 2 Smoking Barrels – a household name throughout the Illawarra region – whose fun barbecue and food truck are loved by families and large groups. Videographer Jai Talbot of Forever Films captured every laugh and tear while everyone danced under chandeliers and fairy lights.
